TEK Gaming™ has decided to dive into the now Free-To-Play aim-based MMO, TERA. We are currently on the PvP server, Lake Of Tears, a server that was released upon the game becoming Free-To-Play about a month ago.
As with every other game we’ve dove into, our goals remain the same: To become the absolute best.
Armed with a leader that was both loved and hated by the RTS community during the first few years of Warcraft 3 for his unparalleled “mapsense”, intuitive micromanagement, and risky strategies, along with fellow teammates ranging from former Starcraft II Grand Masters and topping the MMR rankings in Heroes Of Newerth and DoTA, to semi-professional Counter Strike, TEK remains confident in leading a successful PvP guild on TERA in the next few months.
It’s been many months and TEK is still searching for our 5th player for our DoTA 2 team. We have given over 400 direct tryouts to some pretty skilled players last year but still could not settle on a fifth.
For those who do not already know, we are looking for someone to fill the Full Support or Super-Carry position. While most of us can fill one or both of those roles really well, each of our individual gaming skill sets are better off in other roles for DoTA to optimize performance.
Having gone through hundreds of players, we will now require all applicants to send in their MOBA credentials (ie: your highest MMR achieved on HoN, what invite-only leagues you were in during classic DoTA, etc.). To keep things simple, if you were on HoN for a while, a minimum of 1800 MMR (during the time that 1980 was the highest because I do not know what the current MMR pool is like in HoN) is required to be considered for a tryout.
The official TEK Gaming™ website has finally been re-launched. This will be the main site and will accommodate all games TEK currently participates in.
